Downtown Neighborhoods Offer Variety

The best Denver neighborhoods in the city offer more variety of housing and things to do than the popular Denver Suburbs. From upscale homes to “urban pioneer” neighborhoods to manicured mansion communities, they are all within 15 minutes of downtown. Chic Cherry Creek is its own upscale shopping, arts and restaurants district. The Santa Fe Arts neighborhood also has a great variety of galleries, shops and eateries.

Belcaro – Located near Cherry Creek and Washington Park. The lots are larger than average which is great for families.

Bonnie Brae – Variety of newer and older homes including a range of styles. Located next to Washington Park.

Cheesman Park – A historic neighborhood with many Victorian homes and condominiums. Popular with young singles as well as empty-nesters. Located near parks as well as restaurants and bars.

Cherry Creek – If you like Georgetown you’ll love Cherry Creek. Lots of shipping including fashion, restaurants and a mall. Housing options include condos and town homes.

City Park – The largest park in Denver. Has a zoo, museums, golf and affordable homes, Fixer-ups to renovations.

Congress Park – This is an older area located close to Cherry Creek. Housing options include older homes with large trees.

Crestmoor – The community is quiet and homes are priced on the upper end. There is a private swim and tennis club.

Curtis Park – If you enjoy an area that is walkable downtown, that this will be a good fit. Housing options include historic Victorians as well as remodeled townhomes and some single family homes.

Denver Country Club – If you are looking for a prestigious area, this is it. Beautiful luxury homes and older mansions.

Downtown – Alternative to sophisticated. Heart of the urban action and located close to sports and theater. 

Five Points – This is a historic part of the city with newer town homes as well as older housing. The community is rich in culture and history.

Highlands – This is a trendy neighborhood with a variety of housing options and prices.

Hilltop – Locate close to Cherry Creek. Homes built in the 1960’s as well as large new homes.

Lo-Do – Lower Downtown has lofts, condos, clubs and restaurants from Pepsi Center to Union Station to Coor’s Field. There’s always something happing in Lo-Do.

LoHi – Urban living near downtown popular with the younger crowd. Mix of new and old. Top restaurants, nightlife. Mexican food too.

Lowry – Close to the air base on Denver’s East Side. Newer Condos & Single Families with Town Center.

Mayfair – Smaller homes that are affordable w/ trees and In-Fills near hospitals & Colfax.

Montclair – 1950’s ranches. It’s located next to Crestmoor and Lowry.

Park Hill – The streets here are charming and lined with trees. It is a quiet, older part of town.

Platte Park – If you want to live near Washington Park and the Light Rail and you enjoy shopping and restaurants close to where you live, then check out this area.

Polo Club – The majority of homes here are patio homes with some large luxury estate properties.

River North – River North is north of downtown with new and old homes, townhomes and condos.

Southern Hills – Ranches Near University of Denver. Popular Slavens schools K-8. Many young families.

Southmoor – Large lots that are great for families or anyone looking for a house that has room for a dog to run. Most homes are from the 1960’s to 1980’s.

Stapleton – Shopping areas and new schools. Another great area for families and lots of kids.

University Hills – Walk to shopping, rail & coffee. Affordable new home scrappers and starter homes.

University Park – From here you can walk to Denver University, restaurants and Observatory Park.
